As the end of 2023 approaches, so does this end of this blog segment. In the new year, I’ll be changing up the quantity and subject matter of my blog posts, but for now I’m going to finish what I started. The weekly posts in November and December will be my chance to wrap up the monthly blog posts I’ve had going for quite some time as I prep for new and wondrous things to come. But first, lets look back at October and the tarot prediction for the past month.
Now, let’s remind ourselves of what that prediction was.
October: The Hermit: This card is a reminder of the value of solitude, patience, and stepping away from the cacophony of society. It offers the potential to discover deeper truths about the world, insights about the self, and previously unfathomed levels of the soul. Guess I have a lot of meditation to do in October. Spooky movie marathons count, right?
And how accurate was that reading?
Pretty accurate.
Let’s break this down.
I probably should have heeded this advice. If you’ve been keeping an eye on my social media, you saw just how chaotic October was for me. I should not have joked that I would be my most powerful during the spooky season.
As a full-time, self-published horror author, everyone wanted a piece of me. I only had about 4 or 5 days off during the entire month, and only two of those days were back-to-back (but only because one of my events got postponed due to the weather. I was busy every weekend with professional endeavors, while trying to squeeze in personal stuff with friends and family.
And then there was my annual spooky movie binge, my attempt to get caught up on my reading list, extra vet visits for the cats… You get the picture.
October was BUSY, but I loved every minute of it. Although I did take some time for myself and turned some work days into half-days, it would have been wise to practice a little more self-care. Lesson learned. And now I know exactly what to expect for next year’s spooky season. I have a year to prep – let’s get to it!
