It’s been a month since my 30th birthday, and a month since my tarot reading to see what this year has in store for me. Now that the month of February has come to an end, I thought it would be interesting to check back on that tarot reading and see how accurate that prediction was.
Now, let’s remind ourselves of what that prediction was:
February: Magician – Shakespeare: The magician is presented as a creator, and this card speaks of mastering your tools of intellect, emotions, actions, and the material world. Although there is an emphasis on self-confidence and self-reliance, there is also mention of receiving guidance from either your own knowledge or that of a facilitator.
And how accurate was it?
Alarmingly accurate.
Let’s break this down. I’ve finally made the leap into the unknown, and this past month I’ve been working towards becoming a self-published author. So, like the magician, I have definitely been a creator. Between researching what I need to know and teaching myself new skills that will be necessary to achieve my career goals, I have certainly been putting in the work to master my tools of intellect. Plus, regular visits with a therapist have helped with mastering my emotions and actions. Personally, I don’t think there’s been a whole lot of mastery over the material world. Therapy has helped me with my self-confidence, and all of the work and research I’m doing has helped with my self-reliance when it comes to the world of self-publishing. All that research also helps in terms of receiving guidance from my own knowledge. And what about a facilitator? I’ve certainly found plenty of those. Obviously, my therapist has been providing guidance in the area of mental health, but I’ve also been receiving guidance from the writing community. I’ve reached out to three different people this past month who have provided valuable advice and feedback to help get me started.
This is pretty wild, and now I’m really curious to see how accurate the predictions are for the rest of the year. March looks like it could be a bumpy ride, but luckily I have a wonderful support system in place and I’m confident that I can tackle any challenges that come my way. Wish me luck!
