Another Month Gone?! Who’s Ready For Another Tarot Check-In?

How is September over already? Although, I can’t really complain. I have been looking forward to October for quite some time (a whole year in fact). Spooky Season is the absolute best. But September was good to me too. I made lots of personal and professional progress, spent time with some awesome people, started my annual Spooktober Marathon early, got a new tattoo, and consumed a rather unhealthy amount of PSL (no regrets). This past month was so good for me that I can’t wait to see what October has in store. But I won’t get ahead of myself. Before I can look to the month ahead, I should take care of the next tarot check-in.

Now, let’s remind ourselves of what that prediction was:

September: III of Quills (Reversed): The reverse of this card indicates that conflicting forces could be in balance. Recovery begins, and there is a feeling of relief as disaster has been averted. At the same time, pain might be denied or dwelled upon, leading to a breakdown.

And how accurate was it?

Fairly accurate.

Let’s break this down.

Luckily, I did not have a breakdown. At least, not a major one. When you have an anxiety disorder and constant stressors in your life, a breakdown is just called Tuesday. All jokes aside, conflicting forces did balance out both personally and professionally. I feel like I’m on my way to developing a better, healthier work lift balance where I listen to my body and don’t push myself harder than I need to. I still work hard and get lots done, but I’ve also been able to make time for friends, hobbies, and rest. And when I started my new allergy shot serum this past week, I knew that I could take the time to recover without feeling guilty about needing to rest and take it easy. I don’t know that my work life balance has ever been this good before, and it’s still a work in progress.

Here’s to a productive and restful October!
