“All’s Done, All’s Won”: Time For The Next Tarot Check-In

It’s finally March, and it’s the time of year when I’m starting to get sick of all this snow. But I’ll enjoy it while I can. I’m sure it won’t be much longer before I start complaining about the heat.

But enough about the weather. It’s time for another tarot check-in. We’re on to a new year of predictions, and February was a good month for me. It went by way too fast, but then again it is the shortest month of the year. Yet in such a short month, so much happened. Let’s not waste any more time. Bring on the tarot cards!

Now, let’s remind ourselves of what that prediction was.

February: VI of Scepters: This card speaks of victory, well-earned conquest, the realization of desires and dreams, as well as advancement and achievement. However, success isn’t handed to you, but won through hard work, skill, courage, and intelligence.

And how accurate was it?

Very.

Let’s break this down.

February was all about settling into a new work routine now that I have a part-time job that still allows me the freedom to pursue self-publishing. Starting at the end of January, I’ve been experimenting with work schedules that allow me to feel productive and accomplished, while still giving myself time to rest and take care of myself. I’m proud to announce that I have finally settled on a winning schedule/routine that suits my current lifestyle perfectly.

I’ve gotten lots of writing and editing done, worked on marketing, chatted with beta readers, and even found time to take on a few freelance transcription projects. At no point has it felt like my part-time job is getting in the way, and I still have time to have rest days and hangouts with friends. I don’t feel burnt out at all – not even close – and this is the lowest my stress has been in years. I worked really hard to achieve this personal and professional victory.

Clearly, this past month was great for me, but the prediction for March isn’t looking as good. Based on the reading, I need to be careful I don’t burn out again. Now that I’ve had such a successful month, I can see how I might get a little overconfident and push myself a bit too far in March. I know that I’ll have to keep an eye on myself this next month and prevent that from happening. Here’s hoping next month’s tarot check-in reveals an inaccurate prediction. Fingers crossed!
