September was a rollercoaster. There were ups and downs, last minute plans added to my schedule, chaos, success, happy tears, sad tears, and everything in between. Becoming a full-time self-employed author is the best decision I’ve ever made, and it keeps me on my toes. So with all of that going on, how did my whirlwind September measure up against my birthday tarot reading?
Now, let’s remind ourselves of what that prediction was.
September: VIII of Chalices: You may have to abandon plans or let go of something that isn’t working. The upheaval could be painful, but you could find something better and more meaningful than what you have now.
And how accurate was that reading?
Sort of…
Let’s break this down.
What’s interesting is that back when I did this reading back at the end of January, I was already planning my departure from my part-time job. I knew I was going to leave sometime between September and November. Then, the further along the year went, the more Mark and I talked about it, the plan was to finish out August at my part-time job and then leave right at the start of September. So had I left in September as I originally planned, this tarot reading would have been extremely accurate.
As luck would have it, circumstances I could not have predicted forced me to make a decision that led to me leaving that job at the end of July. So now, the prediction for September turned out to be not so accurate at all. At the beginning of the month, it certainly felt like things weren’t working out the way I wanted them to.
But as September picked up speed, the good things increased! I participated in my first craft market, I picked up a new contract client, and I made some great progress on my writing and editing goals. October has barely started and I already have a super busy calendar with lots of fun events to attend and work. I can’t wait to see what the next tarot check-in looks like!
