Back when I first started writing and brainstorming for this collection, one of my main goals was to play around with different ways to tell a story. A notice taped to a wall was one of the formats that came to mind.
And even though I wrote this piece of flash fiction about 2 or 3 years ago, now that Backrooms is in theatres, this feels like an appropriate time to share this particular short story.

Please do not enter or touch the cubicle without the proper PPE.
Should you experience the following symptoms, please report to your supervisor IMMEDIATELY:
Nausea or vomiting
Ocular migraines
Paranoid delusions
Weeping rashes
If the cubicle attempts to communicate with you, under no circumstances should you acknowledge it.
Should this occur SLOWLY back away from the cubicle without taking your eyes from it. Once a safe distance away, please leave this sector and report to your supervisor.
