It’s Tarot Time! Who’s Ready For The Next Check-In?

Can you believe I got sick a second month in a row?! According to my doctor, after getting covid back in October, it’s likely that I have long covid and could continue to pick up bugs and viruses for the foreseeable future while my immune system recovers. Obviously, I do not want that to happen again, so I am taking extra good care of myself for the rest of cold and flu season.

Spending another week in a sickbed certainly impacted my schedule and my plans for November, but how did it affect the prediction from my birthday tarot reading?

Now, let’s remind ourselves of what that prediction was.

November: Lord of Chalices – Valentine (Reversed): This card represents artifice, duplicity, or betrayal, and speaks of someone acting disingenuously. Some one may be emotionally dishonest, addicted to emotions, or willing to promise anything to gain an objective. Or it may be that someone is charming but irresponsible.

And how accurate was it?

Not at all.

Let’s break this down.

Thankfully, I did not encounter or interact with anyone like this in the past month. If anything, the only betrayal came from my own body. When I got sick, that threw a wrench in my NaNoWriMo plans and greatly affected my work and social life. If I had had to deal with a person like the Lord of Chalices on top of all of that, I can imagine the stress would have caused a lot more damage than that respiratory virus ever could.

But December is a new month, with new plans and new goals. Here’s to all the good things to come!
